Clove
The flower bud of an evergreen tree.
Cloves often used in a range of cuisines to flavour meats, curries, marinades and fruit dishes due to its pungent, intense, sweet yet bitter flavour. The aromatic flavours are often used in warm winter drinks.
Also known for its anti-oxident properties and use in fragrances.
Sumac
Sumac is a red flower from a bush used in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. It has a tangy lemony flavour though it is less tart than lemon juice.
Celery Seeds
Celery seeds are from the flower of the Celery plant. As they tast the same as a celery stalk they can be used in dishes to enhance flavours.
It has long been used in Ayurvedic medicines for a range of ailments and can be found as a dietary supplement in capsule or tablet form.
